Dates are not yet finalized for when the trial of Wesley Veit, accused of the first degree murder of his estranged wife in the Wilkie area, will take place.
Right now the case remains in the case management phase as pre-trial preparations continue.
Matters have now been adjourned to Feb. 28, when a case management meeting/conference call is scheduled at the Battleford courthouse.
It is possible that dates for a trial could be set after that next meeting.
The victim, Heidi Veit, had been an educational assistant at the McLurg High School in Wilkie. She was found deceased on March 28 of last year about five kilometers outside the community. Wesley Veit was taken into custody two days later without incident.
