Battlefords RCMP responded to approximately 28 calls for service between 6 a.m. Wednesday, March 11 and 6 a.m. Thursday, March 12.

Wednesday

• There was a theft reported from a business on Carlton Trail at 7:56 a.m. The incident was captured on surveillance video and the investigation is going.

• Officers were advised of a residential alarm at 11:34 a.m. on the 800 block of 106th Street. There was damage to the garage door, however, it does not appear as though the perpetrator gained entry to the residence.

• Someone called to report that he is missing a ring and wondered if it had been turned in. He thinks that he may have lost it at the Frontier Mall.

• There was a complaint of a verbally aggressive panhandler on the 1100 block of 101st Street. The man was located and warned about his behaviour.

• At 7:29 p.m. there was a report of a smashed window at a business on the 1600 block of St Laurent Drive. 

• There was a report of a theft from a business on the Highway 16 bypass at 9:45 p.m. The suspect fled in a white Dodge Journey with a licence plate that had been stolen from Lloydminster.

• Officers responded to a complaint on the 1200 block of 103rd Street at 9:55 p.m. that there were two intoxicated individuals in the alley and they were making a lot of noise. A 39-year-old woman was arrested for being intoxicated in public and she was held in cells until she was sober.

• A motor vehicle accident was reported at 11:49 p.m. on the 1600 block of 101st Street. A 27-year-old female driver hit a vehicle that was parked on the side of the road, injuring the one passenger in her vehicle. Both occupants were taken to the hospital with undetermined injuries. The driver was charged with impaired driving causing bodily harm and failing to comply with her probation order.

Thursday

• There was a complaint that a bag containing hockey equipment was stolen out of the back of a truck on the 1600 block of 100th Street between 12:30 and 1:30 a.m.

There were also four disturbances reported, three traffic complaints, one minor collision, one Mental Health Act complaint, three found items turned into the detachment and one nuisance 911 call.
