The Prince Albert Parkland Health Region is in need of caring, compassionate and committed volunteers to fill the following service positions:
Special Groups or Individuals - Hafford Special Care Centre: These volunteers entertain, give presentations, prepare birthday parties, provide cakes and sing for the patients and residents.
Pet Therapy – Evergreen Health Centre (Leoville): Volunteers with well-trained, friendly pets may visit the residents at the nursing homes. The pets must meet the necessary requirements prior to visiting.
Friendly Visiting – Spiritwood and District Health Complex: Duties include visiting residents on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, chatting, playing cards, reading, sitting outside with residents, portering residents, taking residents to functions, shopping trips, performing small favours and walking with Alzheimer patients. Shifts are 9 to 11:30 a.m., 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.
