Warning for marijuana possession

Battlefords RCMP were called to 25 incidents between 6 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16 and 6 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17. Among those calls were two false alarms and three incidents where 911 was misused. Monday 9:28 a.m.

Monday

9:28 a.m. - Small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia seized. No charges pursued, youth warning given under Youth Criminal Justice Act.

9:46 a.m. - Vehicle window on truck parked on 1400 block of 98th Street smashed.

1:18 p.m. - Complainant reporting her house keys stolen by her boyfriend.

2:00 p.m. - Hit and run reported at Frontier Mall Parking lot. Complainant's white pickup struck by unknown vehicle.

7:21 p.m. - Vehicle vandalized while parked on 1800 block of 102nd Street.

7:40 p.m. - Members dispatched to a break and enter in progress to a residence on 96th Street, appeared to be someone with a flashlight in back yard. Homeowner was home watching TV and reported no problems at residence.

9:42 p.m. - 911 hang up to residence on 111th Street. Upon arrival, man advised he was joking around with his friends that he was going to call 911 then accidentally did call 911. Members thought about joking around about writing a ticket, but in the end decided to just write a ticket. Charges under 911 Act to be pursued.

Tuesday

12:31 a.m. - Vehicle fire reported on Douglas Avenue. Three persons witnessed exiting vehicle and running away. Fire contained with damage to passenger seat. Vehicle later reported stolen out of Meadow Lake.

1:00 a.m. - 26-year-old woman arrested and charged with impaired driving and driving while over .08 after vehicle stop on 110th Street. Also facing charges of failing to comply with conditions of an undertaking. The 21-year-old male passenger in the vehicle also arrested, found to be in violation of conditions of parole and facing one new charge of obstruction. He will make his first appearance Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 9:30 a.m. in North Battleford Provincial Court. The woman driver is set to be released for a court date in January.

2:36 a.m. - 22-year-old woman arrested at a residence on 108th Street after 911 call to address. Found to have 10+ warrants out of numerous detachments in the area.

5:43 a.m. - Theft of a 2007 Cobalt, Saskatchewan license IKV 400 reported.
