The giant golf ball visible from the highway northwest of Radisson isn’t an alien spaceship. It’s a weather radar installed by Environment Canada. According to a press release, it’s expected to be operational in December. Liberal government officials are planning to install four additional new weather radars by the end of March 2019, and possibly seven more until the end of the project in 2023.
