Battlefords RCMP responded to 59 calls for service over this time period Tuesday June 6th 6a.m. - Wednesday June 7th 6 a.m., including but not limited to the following:
10:38 a.m. Report of male stealing a wheelchair from the local hospital, RCMP located the male a short distance away in the wheel chair, wheel chair was returned to the hospital without incident.
12:39 p.m. Report of a male threatening to harm his girlfriend, male was walking around in his under wear carrying a knife. RCMP attended and arrested male without further incident. No one was injured. This matter remains under investigation.
3:50 a.m. Members responded to a report of an assault with a weapon that took place on one of the northern first nations communities. An unknown male was at a residence when he began assaulting another male with a big knife resembling a machete. EMS attended this residence, and one male was taken by ambulance to hospital, no others were injured. The injuries were not life threatening. This matter remains under investigation.
