Between 6 a.m. Tuesday, July 21 and 6 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, North Battleford RCMP responded to approximately 35 calls for service, including:
Tuesday, July 21
- An officer located a male youth carrying a firearm along Highway 40, west of Battleford, at 6:47 a.m. The male was arrested and charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and possession of property obtained by crime. He was held in custody for court.
- Officers assisted WPD Ambulance outside a residence on Martin Crescent regarding an injured and combative male in a yard at 9:33 a.m. The male was transported by ambulance for the treatment of his injuries, which appeared to be a result of a physical altercation. He was uncooperative with a police investigation.
- Someone reported at 4:08 p.m. that she was receiving phone calls from a person that is on a probation order with conditions not to have contact with her. The male is being charged with breaching his probation order.
- A Community Safety Officer stopped a vehicle on 101st Street around 4:45 p.m. The 30-year-old male driver had a driving prohibition and officers attended to assist in charging the male with driving while disqualified.
- A 19-year-old man has been charged with breaking and entering, possession of property obtained by crime, assault with a weapon, and uttering threats after an incident on Saulteaux First Nation that was reported at 9:12 p.m.
- A youth male was charged with breaching the curfew conditions on his undertaking, as he was not at home for his curfew at 10p.m.
Wednesday, July 22
- There was a report that someone had broken into a vehicle on Meighen Crescent overnight and had stolen items from the vehicle.
In addition, three people were arrested for alcohol related offences, five disturbances, three minor collisions, one traffic complaint and three false alarms.
