Battlefords RCMP responded to 55 calls for service over this time period Wednesday September 13th 6 a.m. – Thursday September 14th 6 a.m., including but not limited to the following:
10:15 a.m. Police called to attempted robbery.
A 16 year old male youth was walking on 106 st in North Battleford when he was approached by three other male youth on bikes. One of the youth produced a pellet pistol and demanded personal items from the Victim. The Victim did not cooperate and was subsequently shot numerous times. The suspects fled the scene with some of the Victims personal items.
The victim suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital for follow up.
Further investigation resulted in police locating the three youth that were involved with the crime. One youth was arrested and charged with Robbery with a Weapon, Aggravated Assault and Using an Imitation Firearm in the Commission of an Offence.
This matter is still under further investigation.
