Zoning bylaw amendment gets first reading

North Battleford council gave first reading Monday to a bylaw amendment in the north end of the city.

The bylaw is a zoning amendment impacting the area around Sandpiper Road and Finch Crescent. The zoning would change from Future Urban Development District to R1 - One Unit Residential District for the Finch Crescent portion and R2 - Low Density Residential District for a couple of areas around Sandpiper Road.

First reading passed unanimously Monday, which allows the City to proceed with advertising on the zoning changes.
