Provincial officials responded Monday to the release of a report on long-term care facilities on Friday.

On June 1, at 1:30 a.m., Maidstone RCMP, Onion Lake RCMP, Turtleford RCMP and Lloydminster Search and Rescue responded to a single vehicle roll over on Highway 3 West of Paradise Hill.

MELFORT — Part of Melfort’s Main Street has been closed to traffic so the city can install a new water line. The project, which started on June 1, is expected to take between two to three weeks depending on the weather.

NIPAWIN — Saskatchewan provincial courts are resuming business at nine circuit court locations in the coming weeks, Saskatchewan Chief Judge J.A. Plemel said in a statement May 29. One of the locations is Nipawin.

CARROT RIVER — Carrot River youth are invited to bring their own chalks and be creative, leaving their own designs on the sidewalk at the town square.

Charges were dropped against two people who were the first to be charged under the Saskatchewan Public Health Act during the COVID-19 pandemic.

As of June 1, there is one new case of COVID-19. The new case is in the Regina region. The provincial total remains at 646 reported cases.

CARROT RIVER — Carrot River’s 17 graduates will be paraded around town, in a form of community celebration that can be safely practiced through the pandemic.

Bail hearings for two co-accused charged in connection to a major drug bust north of Biggar were adjourned again. Mitch Hutchinson, 49, had show cause hearings on May 21, 22nd and 29th in Saskatoon Provincial Court but still hasn’t been released.
