Submitted Battlefords Union Hospital Foundation received a donation of $10,000 from North Battleford Lions Club Inc. on Feb. 11. These funds will be directed to BUH Foundation’s “Ready. Set.

On Feb. 28, at approximately 4:30 a.m., Battlefords RCMP were called to the 1300 block of 97th street in North Battleford for a report of several gunshots.

HUMBOLDT — A new 33.61-hectare subdivision in northwest Humboldt could be in the works. At its Feb. 14 meeting, council voted to approve the concept of the new subdivision, which would be located behind the Humboldt Co-op Food Store.

On Feb. 27 at approximately 10:30 p.p., Turnor Lake RCMP were called to the scene of a single vehicle collision in the community of Bear Creek on Highway 155. A 64-year-old male pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Jeremy Cockrill has won the Sask Party nomination in the Battlefords. He took the nod Thursday night at a contested nomination meeting at the Dekker Centre defeating Tom Hawboldt, the only other contender in the race.

Police are encouraging anyone who has had their identification stolen to report it to their nearest police service or RCMP Detachment after arresting a man in Mortlach who had multiple stolen identifications.
