La Ronge RCMP are hoping to acquire any video of an incident this week, having seen individuals recording with their phones when two police offices were assaulted. On Aug. 23, at approximately 12:30 a.m.

CARROT RIVER — The adult who destroyed several flowers along Carrot River’s Main Street has agreed to pay for the cost of the damage as well as write an apology for the act.

LANIGAN — The Nutrien Lanigan potash mine will be shut down temporarily. The company said it’s looking at starting at the beginning of November. The shutdown could last for up to eight weeks.

LANIGAN — Nutrien has announced it's expecting to shut down its Lanigan potash mine for up to eight weeks. “The production downtime is in response to a short-term slowdown in global potash markets,” said a media release from the company.

HUMBOLDT — Humboldt’s in good financial shape, Mayor Rob Muench told the audience at a state of the city address. The address was hosted by the Humboldt and District Chamber of Commerce on Sept. 11.

A run for mental health is taking place this weekend in North Battleford. The Bridging Communities Mental Health Run looks to bring together community members in the name of mental health. Running categories include 1K, 2K and 5K.
