HUMBOLDT — Replacement of water mains of Seventh Street between Fifth Avenue to Eighth Avenue could result in road closures. The work begins on Monday, July 15 and could go for three to four weeks.

HUMBOLDT — Motorists should expect construction on Peck Road from Fourth Avenue in Humboldt to Highway 20 for the next two to three weeks. Construction crews are improving the road by clay capping it.

HUMBOLDT — The Saskatchewan Sheep and Development Board (SSDB) will be hosting the National Grasslands All Canadian Classic at Humboldt’s Uniplex in late July. The Canadian Classic showcases efforts of the sheep farming industry across the country.

MELFORT — Due to an unexpected complication with a retaining wall, the budget to replace the sidewalk on the north side of the Northern Lights Palace went up by around $40,000 Melfort council voted in favour of the increase at its meeting on July 9.

HUMBOLDT — Those taking Highway 5 from 102nd Street to a point approximately six kilometres east can expect delays on the morning of July 9. From 9 am to 12 pm, a large building will be relocated, blocking traffic in both directions.

This morning at approximately 4:50 a.m., Kerrobert RCMP were called to a collision scene on Highway 21, approximately one mile north of the Coleville access road. A northbound vehicle entered the east ditch and rolled.

On July 5, at approximately 10:26 p.m., Spiritwood RCMP report they attended the scene of a two-vehicle collision on the intersection of Highway 3 and 12 near Shell Lake.
