THUNDER RAPIDS — Carrot River RCMP are looking for a man last seen at the Thunder Rapids Lodge store. Brent Tyler Hamilton was last seen Aug. 30 at 2:40 pm.

Local dignitaries and members of the public gathered recently to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Battlefords Family Health Centre garden project. The garden is located in Battleford at the Eiling Kramer Campground.

Humboldt agricultural dealers took to the field for the Humboldt Broncos with their Seed for Green Harvest for Gold fundraiser. Volunteers seeded 105 acres of barley south of Humboldt.

Many groups are getting together to put on the Wadena Town and Country Fair on Sept. 1-2 with two fun filled days of activities and events.

TISDALE — Shell will be opening a gas station in Tisdale where Robin’s Donuts is located. The site used to be a Tempo gas station. The coffee shop will continue business as normal.

Movie fans in the Battlefords can look forward to a Send Off to Summer event on Sept. 14. That is when the fifth annual Send Off to Summer movie event is scheduled for North Battleford.

Humboldt got its pride on with their third annual pride week from Aug. 21-26. The rainbow flag was raised on Aug. 21 at Humboldt city hall to launch a week of activities supporting the Humboldt LGBTQ+ community. Andrew Matheson MC’d the raising.

TISDALE — Local RCMP have caught 17 drivers not properly stopping at an intersection frequented heavily by children. The Tisdale RCMP saw 25 traffic violations from Aug. 15 to 30, with 17 of them being given out on Aug.

Nearly eight months after a robbery on Mosquito First Nation, both co-accused have been sentenced. On Friday, Aug. 24, Marty Moccasin was sentenced to five years in jail, less time served, along with a lifetime ban of certain weapons.
