The North Battleford Good Neighbour Network and the Battlefords and District Labour Council hosted the annual community block party which ran the afternoon of Sunday, Sept. 10. The event brought out a number of residents.

Due to inclement weather, the Recycle More Trash Less event, held to promote the proper use of garbage and recycle bins in the city, was moved to the Don Ross Centre indoors on Wednesday evening.

There will be six official Saskatchewan Party leadership debates held and North Battleford will be the site for one of them. November 16 has been set as the date for the North Battleford debate.

The province is calling on technology companies and researchers to submit proposals for a 16-week residency program to tackle rural crime.

The provincial New Democrats have moved up their leadership vote by a couple of months.

The City of Humboldt is calling youth to action with their first Youth Council, and possibly the second of its kind in the province.
