A former Battlefords resident turned nationally-known entrepreneur and businessnessman is one of those named to the Order of Canada. W. Brett Wilson is one of 50 people named to the Order of Canada last Thursday by Governor General David Johnston.

The issue of whether to set up a homeless shelter at Reclaim Outreach Centre has not been settled yet by North Battleford city council.

The Onion Lake RCMP Detachment say Erica NAISTUS has been located safe and sound in Onion Lake. RCMP received a complaint July 2 that 13-year-old Erica Naistus ran away from her residence sometime during the night.
