Tender awarded for Highway 4 project
The Town of Battleford has awarded the tender for a Highway 4 twinning project. G & C Asphalt was the winning low bidder for the project and was unanimously awarded the tender at a special meeting held Monday afternoon at town hall in Battleford.

Rollover on Highway 16
A 31-year-old woman was pulled from a burning vehicle early Monday morning on Highway 16, five kilometres west of the Battlefords. The woman was pulled to safety by one of the witnesses before emergency services came on the scene.

An unexpected left turn led to a collision on Hwy. 5 on Father's Day. At approximately 2:30 p.m. on June 19, emergency crews from Humboldt were called to a collision between a quad and a motorcycle about three miles west of the Bruno junction on Hwy.

Drug charges laid
Two Lashburn men have been charged after a drug raid in Lashburn June 18. Charged with possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking is Dean Harder. Pernell Harder was also charged with several counts of unsafe storage of firearms.
