New vaping regulations introduced by the Government of Saskatchewan are targeting youth vaping rates in hopes to lower the number of youth using vapour products.

An additional 12,923 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 706,548.

Effective May 29, the eligibility criteria for second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine changes to 70 years and older or anyone of any age who received their first dose on or before March 15.

Two trials have been set for an Onion Lake man facing numerous charges in two separate incidents. Trials for Lane Ryder Pahtayken, 23, are set in Lloydminster Provincial Court on July 7 and Sept. 15.

A Prince Albert man was sentenced to 10 years in prison for the murder of 27-year-old Cody McAdam. Judge Natasha Crooks sentenced Bryce Bird, 20, in Prince Albert Court of Queen’s Bench on May 28.

A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for a 33-year-old man wanted on several criminal code offences relating to a 15-month long human trafficking investigation by the Saskatoon Police VICE and Human Trafficking Unit.
