Premier Scott Moe laid out the details of the coming “road back to normal” Tuesday at the province’s news conference. Moe provided a re-opening road map on how they plan to lift the current public health orders in place in the province.

Public health restrictions will be eased as more people are vaccinated against COVID-19. The provincial government released a three-step reopening process on May 4.

Two pharmacies offering appointments for vaccinations have been added to the Battlefords pharmacy pilot program. Newly added to the list are Walmart’s pharmacy and Remedy’s RX, 181A-22nd Street in Battleford.

Vaccines Reported An additional 9,924 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 460,747.

Saskatchewan is to get its first national museum, after the federal government earmarked funds in this year’s budget for Regina’s RCMP Heritage Centre.

RM OF WILLOW CREEK — A grass fire which consumed 460,000 square metres of brush and field in the RM of Willow Creek is attributed to a vehicle heating up the grass causing it to ignite. Melfort Fire responded on April 29 at 2:40 p.m.

A man facing drug trafficking and weapons-related offences is seeking bail in Saskatoon Provincial Court. Rudi Betthel, 52, of Bjorkdale, had a show cause hearing on April 29 but the judge reserved his decision until May 7.

A man wanted by RCMP on violent offences was arrested and released on bail.

On Thursday April 29, Black Lake RCMP officers were alerted to a vehicle carrying a large quantity of alcohol passing through La Ronge heading toward Black Lake. The vehicle was located and stopped by RCMP.

Beginning May 4, eligibility in the provincial age-based immunization program will expand to include age 37+, and to age 18+ for the Northern Saskatchewan Administration District.
