Three positive COVID-19 cases were reported in Light of Christ Catholic Schools this week.

HUMBOLDT — An upcoming feature at Water Ridge Park organized by the Reid-Thompson Public Library will have local children reading and moving at the same time.

On April 30 at 8 a.m., Maidstone RCMP, Lloydminster Rescue and WPD Ambulance were dispatched to a collision involving a school bus and a truck on Highway 3 west of Paradise Hill.

MELFORT — The Melfort RCMP’s detachment area is expanding.

HUMBOLDT — The Humboldt Fire Department fought a fire in a motorhome parked on an empty lot on Sixth Avenue between 12th Street and 13th Street. Twelve fire department members responded around 12:14 p.m.

Firefighters were called out to a grass fire at Biggar and District Regional Park, just north of the town, Friday morning. It appears the danger is over and the fire contained at this time.

MELFORT — Melfort will receive around $26,000 for airport upgrades. The province is investing $1.5 million this through its Community Airport Partnership for improvements to 19 airports.

HUMBOLDT — A walk-in vaccine clinic will be held at the Uniplex this Sunday. The clinic will be held at Jubilee Hall from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on May 2.
