HUMBOLDT — Landmark Place will not be paved after a majority of affected property owners petitioned against the improvement.

One of two men accused of discharging a firearm at a home on Onion Lake Cree Nation, Sask., had a bail hearing today. The show cause hearing for Gerome Christopher Okemow, 20, from Onion Lake Cree Nation, was held in Lloydminster Provincial Court.

An Onion Lake Cree Nation man was charged with manslaughter for the death of 26-year-old Braeden Sparvier, also of Onion Lake. Earlier this year Twobears Bird, 22, was charged with accessory to murder.

The drive-thru immunization clinic in Battleford is open Monday, April 26, until 8 p.m. and Tuesday, April 27 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. at 391 Yellowhead Alley.
