City of North Battleford Mayor David Gillan received the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine at the Dekker Centre for the Performing Arts, on Wednesday, April 21. The vaccine clinic is being run by the Battlefords Agency Tribal Chiefs Inc.

LENORE LAKE — Humboldt conservation officers found a large amount of used oil dumped out onto Lenore Lake while conducting patrols. The used oil was found near Lung's Beach on March 23.

At approximately 3 a.m. Friday, April 23, Battlefords RCMP received a call of a residence window being damaged on Scott Drive in North Battleford.

On the morning of April 22, Melville RCMP responded to a complaint of a single vehicle collision on Highway 10 near Duff. There was one occupant in the vehicle and he was critically injured.

On April 21, members of the Battlefords RCMP Gang Task Force executed a CDSA search warrant as a residence on the 1700 block of 97th Street in North Battleford as a result of an ongoing drug investigation.

A young offender charged with second-degree murder in the death of Ryan Gatzke, 27, is seeking bail. The young offender, who was 17 at the time of Gatzke’s murder in 2019, can’t be named in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
