I agree with Rose Freeman's letter (CU tax breaks killing small towns). My experience with the credit union was I asked where they got the $1.5 million for the CUplex in North Battleford and the answer was, "you don't understand.”
At the annual meeting I asked if they were going to give money to each town and city in the same amount of money in proportion to population. I never got an answer. I used to deal 100 per cent with the credit union, I now deal one per cent with the credit union. They do not care.
I remember Sask. Wheat Pool. They had a big head office and they didn't care. Where are they today?
