Traditionally, the season of Lent has been a time of self examination. Through a period of looking inward the intention is to identify one’s sins and go through a process of repentance and renewal.

They need to come up with a new word for it

During this time of alarming updates and depressing news, I think it’s more important than ever to take a moment to relax and breathe. I write this tale in hopes of bringing you that moment.

have often thought of the rail disaster that happened at Lac Megantic, Que. some years ago. The town was decimated and 47 residents lost their lives. I cannot think of a more painful way to die, especially if one didn’t die right away.

Ed, my old neighbour in Saskatchewan, could always be counted on to do me a favour when we lived next door to each other. It easy to like a neighbour or friend who will always help you if possible.

On our recent vacation we attended a church where Pastor Tim Rice from Lakeland, Florida told this story about a day he went to help a friend in the mining industry who he wanted to share the love of God with.
