Dear Editor On behalf of Canadian Blood Services, happy New Year and a heartfelt thanks to all blood donors in North Battleford. Through your generosity more than 864 blood donations were collected in 2012.

We've wanted more people here for a long time. Saskatchewan has been waiting forever for its population to grow. Now it is. And we're about to experience one of the small inconveniences to that growth.

After a week of overcast Vancouver grey days and some rainy snow it is nice to have a bright day. That was not nice for drivers as there were lots of guys in the ditch and some cars on their roofs.
