One of my treasured childhood mementos is a letter from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth's lady-in-waiting. I'd sent Her Majesty a birthday card, never thinking that I'd get any kind of a response.

We are now into the month of June and I thought I would take some time right now to give you an update on how the "Summer Blockbuster Season" is doing at the domestic box office.

A salute to those who keep their garbage sealed, so it will not blow around. A boot to those that do not and a certain North Battleford business should take note.

It is hard to avoid bad news these days. There are good news stories and we are surrounded by amazing individuals, but when I turn on the television or radio it makes the world seem like a crazy place.

It is not uncommon or even considered inappropriate to call someone "skinny." Skinny is defined as very thin, of inadequate size or growth.

Sometimes life holds such lovely surprises; take this past Friday afternoon, for example. My eyes glued to the computer monitor and the larger part of my anatomy glued to my computer chair, I raced against the clock to meet several writing deadlines.
