PRINCE ALBERT — The Prince Albert Police Service Major Crimes Unit is investigating a death that occurred on Thursday.
At approximately 8:50 a.m. on July 31, police were called to the 500 block of 39th Street West for a report of a suspicious person and that someone had potentially located a deceased person. When officers quickly arrived on the scene, they located a deceased male.
Members of the Prince Albert Police Service Forensic Identification Section (FIS), Prince Albert RCMP FIS and Saskatchewan Coroners Service were also called and attended the scene.
An autopsy is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, Aug. 5. The Major Crimes Unit is continuing to investigate and any further information will be provided when it becomes available or upon conclusion of the investigation.
