PRINCE ALBERT — Three years after the incident, a man has been charged with operation of a vehicle causing death in the fatal collision between a car and a truck.
On April 4, 2022, Prince Albert RCMP responded to a two-vehicle collision involving a car and truck at the intersection of Highway 263 and Okema Beach Road. The driver and sole occupant of the car was declared deceased at the scene. He was identified as a 64-year-old male from the Prince Albert detachment area.
The truck involved in the collision was abandoned at the scene. Investigators believed the vehicle occupant(s) had fled on foot. Investigation determined that the truck was previously reported as stolen out of Leask on April 3, 2022.
