Update: Three facing charges following unlawful confinement report

Following an investigation by the Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) Serious Assault Unit, two women, ages 30 and 32, and a 21-year-old man are charged with unlawful confinement (x2), robbery (x2), and aggravated assault.

SASKATOON — Update, March 12, 8:40 a.m.: Three people have been arrested and charged in connection to an assault and unlawful confinement last month.

Following an investigation by the Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) Serious Assault Unit, two women, ages 30 and 32, and a 21-year-old man are charged with unlawful confinement (x2), robbery (x2), and aggravated assault.

Original post, Feb. 28, 3:55 p.m.: Saskatoon police are investigating an incident in which two individuals were allegedly unlawfully confined inside a residence on Lenore Drive.

At approximately 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 28, police received a call from a person claiming they had been held at a home in the 400 block of Lenore Drive. The caller also reported that a second person was still being confined at the location. Officers responded and located an injured individual, who was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The Saskatoon Police Service’s Serious Assault Unit is continuing to investigate the incident.
