Macklin Sr Lakers undefeated in Battle River Baseball League

Ian Hillis, pitcher for Macklin Sr. Lakers threw a complete shut-out game May 31, team now at the top of the standings for Battle River Baseball League

MACKLIN - The Battle River Baseball League is proving no match for the Macklin Senior Lakers as the team now sits at the top of the standings winning their first three games.  Two of those wins were blowout victories with a 12-0 win over Killam and a 15-1 win of Amisk.  Their closest game was a 6-1 victory over Czar.

Manager Derrick Lantz says, “We won our third game of our season, 12-0 vs the Killam Braves. That puts us at 3-0 on the season. Ian Hillis pitched the complete game shut out with 11 k's. Hunter Steinhubel hit a solo home run and everyone’s bats stayed hot in our lineup.”

The next game for the Lakers will be at home on June 7 vs the Castor Raiders.

The U18 Macklin Lakers have one victory against Killam by a score of 10-5.  The lost a close game to Czar 6-3 and a close one-run loss to Veteran by a score of 3-2.
