UNITY — Thirty-six graduates of Unity Composite High School were celebrated on June 30, starting with commencement ceremonies in the morning in the school's gym.
Graduates celebrated with the community in a parade through town, with each graduate riding in their own decorated vehicle or float and participating in the traditional grand march that took place down Main Street. Grads, their families and invited guests enjoyed a social in the Community Centre arena following the parade.
Thirty-three scholarships, bursaries and awards from organizations, community businesses and individuals and were handed out to 43 graduates.
