It is with heavy hearts we announce Stephanie Montgomery peacefully left this world at the Assiniboia Union Hospital on July 10, 2025 at the age of 40 after a bravely fought battle with cancer, with her husband Darwin, sister Dezerae, and sons Dyceson, Ty, and Luke by her side.
Stephanie’s wishes were to be in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loved ones for as long possible in the final weeks of her battle, and she was able to do so until the last few hours of her life.
Even as her health was declining, Stephanie was still able to care for her grandchildren and spend time with them until the very end. Her grandchildren brought her so much happiness, and they held a very special place in her heart.
Stephanie touched the lives of so many, and throughout the years she looked after many children through her home daycare and cared for every child as if they were her own. She will be dearly missed by many friends and family.
Stephanie is survived by her husband Darwin, sons: Dyceson (Veronica) Cale, Ty (Katelynn) Montgomery, and Luke (Zoe) Montgomery, grandchildren: Austin and Cole Montgomery, Adalyn and Coy Cale with another one on the way, grandmother Lil Cale, mother Terri Conway, father Glen Cale, sister Dezerae Cale, brother Brandon (Kim) Cale, father and mother-in-law Bruce and Danette Montgomery, brothers and sisters-in-law, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In honoring Stephanie’s wishes, a private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
