Barbara Rose Angus, 76, passed away on July 09, 2025 in Saskatoon. Barb was born on March 18, 1949 in Edmonton, AB to parents Irvin and Rosie Crate. She had many hobbies and interests she loved: watching sports, including curling, baseball and hockey, especially cheering on The Blue Jays and the Oilers; gardening and canning, reading, volunteering, puzzles, dogs, horses, and spending time with her family. Barb will be deeply missed.
Barbara is survived by her husband Donald Gordon Angus; brothers Leonard Crate and Lawrence Crate; children: daughter LeeAnne Angus, son Trevor Angus (Pauline), daughter Skye Angus (Nehemias), son Wilton Angus, son Christian Angus (Stephanie), daughter Dale Angus, and son Michael Angus; grandchildren Jesse McKay, Meagan Angus, Wendel Angus, JoHanna Angus, Avery Singer, Kieren Angus, Skye (Cielo) Leal-Angus, Honey (Jaylene) Bruno, Nehemias Jr. Leal-Angus, Diego Leal-Angus, Christian Jr. Leal-Angus, Dylan Leal-Angus, Maddox Angus, and numerous beloved great0grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and loved ones.
Barbara is predeceased by her father Irvin Crate and mother Rosie Crate; brother Jimmy Crate, brother Freddy Crate; sister Joanne Omeasoo (Crate); brother Donald “Tiny” Crate; son Donald Angus; Daughter-in-Law Vanessa Lynn Aubichon; and grandson Brad-Lee McKay.
The funeral service for Barbara was held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, 1:00 PM at Chief James Okanee Memorial Center in Thunderchild First Nation, SK, with Father Frederick Akah officiating. Burial followed at Thunder Child First Nation Cemetery in Thunder Child First Nation, SK.
