New Regina court date for man accused of killing one-year-old girl

Regina Police say the investigation began when they were called to a hospital for a report of a critically-injured child.

REGINA -  A former Yorkton man charged with manslaughter, in connection with the death of a one-year-old girl in Regina, has appeared in court again.

Bailey Peepeetch, 24, was originally arrested for aggravated assault on Oct. 7, 2020, but the charge was upgraded, when the girl died two days later.

Regina Police say the investigation began when they were called to a hospital for a report of a critically-injured child, and that the injuries were suspected to be the result of physical abuse.

Peepeetch appeared Thursday in Regina Court of King’s Bench, where his matter was adjourned to Sept.11.
