REGINA - Average retail gasoline prices in Regina have risen 8.9 c/L in the past week, averaging 143.33 c/L Sunday, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 82 gas outlets in Regina. This compares with the national average that has increased 2.8 c/L in the last week to 137.70 c/L.

“Canada’s national average gas price saw a slight increase over the last week, largely driven by a major refinery outage in the United States that impacted prices in the Prairie provinces— specifically Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy. “While most other provinces saw smaller or more stable price changes, the outages pushed prices higher across much of the West. With those refinery issues beginning to ease, we may see some limited relief ahead. Oil prices, meanwhile, remain relatively stable in the low $60s, and barring major hurricane disruptions or shifts in the geopolitical landscape, gas price fluctuations across Canada may remain modest heading into fall.”
