Violating firepit regulations could result in a $300 fine per offence since they pose a safety risk to the community.
The city said anyone witnessing a careless firepit is asked to contact Regina at 306-777-7000 during regular business hours or online at Regina.ca to complete a service request 24 hours a day. In an emergency, call 9-1-1.
Anyone using a fire pit or barbecue can safely dispose of ashes or charcoal by cooling them off for 24 hours before placing them in a green cart.
