Regina police investigating after elderly pedestrian hit by vehicle

The victim was transported to hospital by EMS with what appeared to be life-threatening injuries.

Officers were dispatched to an alley in the 2300 block of Scarth Street shortly after 5 p.m. on Aug. 6.

REGINA – The Regina Police Service is investigating a collision involving a pedestrian last evening.

Officers were dispatched to an alley in the 2300 block of Scarth Street shortly after 5 p.m. on Aug. 6 for a report that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle. When they arrived, they located an elderly male victim lying on the ground suffering from significant injuries. 

The victim was transported to hospital by EMS with what appeared to be life-threatening injuries.

The Regina Police Service Investigative Collision Analysis Reconstruction Team (ICART) was called to the scene and began their investigation. Initial findings are that the driver was backing out of a parking stall when they struck the pedestrian. 

The investigation is ongoing.
