Update: Teen killed in collision at 6th Ave. N. and Smith St., Regina

A vehicle appeared to have collided with a power pole and then rolled, killing a 13-year-old passenger.

REGINA - The Regina Police Service is investigating a fatal collision at 6th Avenue North and Smith Street that has killed a 13 year old.

Officers were called to the scene shortly after 5:30 a.m. this morning. When they arrived, they found a vehicle that appeared to have collided with a power pole and then rolled. A 13-year-old victim, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was declared deceased on scene.  

Traffic was shut down in all directions from that location and officers with the Regina Police Service Investigative Collision Analysis Reconstruction Team (ICART) were called to the scene.

The investigation is ongoing, however, charges are expected. The road is once again open and motorists can resume their regular activities. More information will be released at a later time.
