REGINA —  The 2026 Canadian Gymnaestrada will take place in Regina.

The event brings over 1,000 participants for a week of creativity, community spirit, and vibrancy.

“The Canadian Gymnaestrada exemplifies our commitment to inclusive, lifelong participation in gymnastics, showcasing the diversity and creativity that define our sport,” said Denise Alivantov, manager of coach & sport development at Gymnastics Canada.

“We are proud to announce Regina as the host city for 2026. Saskatchewan has a strong history of supporting gymnastics for all—both nationally and on the international stage—making it a fitting location for this celebration of movement and community.”

This will be the first time Saskatchewan will host the Canadian Gymnaestrada.

The event will take place at the Brandt Centre, Mosaic Stadium and Wascana Park from June 30 to July 4, 2026.

Since it’s happening during Canada Day, the Regina Canada Day Committee has expressed its support for including Gymnaestrada participants in the Canada Day festivities at Wascana Park.

This will offer an opportunity to showcase performances for the wider community.

“The Gymnastics Saskatchewan board of directors, staff, and the Saskatchewan gymnastics community are extremely excited to be hosting the 2026 Canadian Gymnaestrada right here in Regina,” said Terrol Russell, CEO of Gymnastics Saskatchewan.

A key partner in the event is the Regina Hotel Association.

“We are thrilled that Regina has been selected to host the 2026 Canadian Gymnaestrada,” said Sandra Jackle, president & CEO of the Regina Hotel Association.

Jackie said the organization is ready to show people what Regina has to offer.

Mayor Chad Bachynski also showed his excitement in welcoming the event to Regina.

“We look forward to opening our arms to participants and spectators from coast to coast, and to demonstrating Regina’s warmth and world-class facilities. To all participants, families and fans from across Canada: welcome to a city that’s ready to celebrate your passion and showcase your talent!”
