REGINA – The Santa Shuffle is back — and this year marks its 35th anniversary of bringing festive fun and community spirit to cities across Canada.
In Regina, the annual 5K fun run and fundraiser will take place on Saturday, Dec. 6 at the Conexus Arts Centre. Participants are encouraged to wear holiday-themed costumes, lace up their sneakers, and even dress up their pets as they walk or run to raise funds for The Salvation Army.
General registration begins Sept. 1
Funds raised through the Regina Santa Shuffle support vital programs offered by the Salvation Army Regina Community Church, including food security initiatives like Daily Bread, Lunch with Sally, and the Saturday night food truck. The event also helps fund seasonal programs such as back-to-school backpacks and Christmas assistance for families.
In 2024, the Regina event saw 160 participants raise $15,000 — and organizers are hoping to top that total this year.
