REGINA — A black bear spotted Monday morning in a tree in Regina has been euthanized. The Public Safety Ministry, which now oversees conservation officers, said the decision was made because of complications.

Regina Police Service say they first got a call about the bear at 4:23 a.m. on Monday.

Police say no dangerous goods were spilled and no injuries have been reported.
