Man wanted on Canada-wide warrant spotted on a bike in Saskatoon

In addition to his arrest related to a previous manslaughter conviction, the 19-year-old man faces weapons and drug charges.

SASKATOON — Saskatoon Police Service says a man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant has been arrested.

At around 2:30 p.m. on July 23, members of the Guns and Gangs Unit observed a man on a bike known to be wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for breaching a community supervision order from a previous manslaughter conviction. Police say officers were able to stop the man and arrest him without incident and, upon search of his person, police located and seized;

  • 15 grams of cocaine
  • 29 grams of methamphetamine
  • 13 grams of fentanyl
  • Modified .22 firearm (loaded)
  • Assorted paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking

In addition to his outstanding warrant being executed, the 19-year-old man was charged with unlawful carry of a prohibited weapon, possession of a firearm without a license, possession of a loaded prohibited firearm without a license, possession of a firearm with the serial number removed, unauthorized carry of a concealed weapon, possession of a weapon while prohibited, and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking (x3).
