Police search for two people in downtown bear spray attacks

The suspect descriptions from both incidents are similar, say Saskatoon police.

One suspect was wearing a black hoodie, black shorts, and black shoes. The second suspect was wearing a grey hoodie, black pants, socks and sandals, and a black balaclava. 

SASKATOON – Police are investigating two incidents of bear spray being deployed yesterday evening in Saskatoon.

At approximately 7:10 p.m., on Aug. 19, two people reportedly sprayed bear spray in a mall in the 200 block of 1st Avenue South. Two victims were found suffering from the effects of bear spray, say Saskatoon Police Service (SPS).

Then, approximately 10 minutes later, a male reported having been bear sprayed by two unknown males in the 100 block of Spadina Crescent.

The suspect descriptions from both incidents are similar, according to SPS. One suspect was wearing a black hoodie, black shorts, and black shoes. The second suspect was wearing a grey hoodie, black pants, socks and sandals, and a black balaclava.
