SASKATOON — Police say a man injured in a hit-and-run in May was struck by a City of Saskatoon Transit bus. A 42-year-old man is charged with failing to stop after an accident.
The charge follows an investigation by the Saskatoon Police Traffic Unit into the incident that occurred May 18. Around 7 p.m., police were called to the 1900 block of 8th Street East where a 49-year-old man had been hit by a vehicle. The vehicle had fled the scene. The victim was transported to hospital with serious injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
The city says he no longer works for Saskatoon Transit.
Police were not able to provide an update on the condition of the pedestrian.
