SASKATOON — Saskatoon fire crews responded to a house fire at the 200 block Ave K South on May 27 at around 8 p.m. Smoke and flames were seen coming from the rear of the building and backyard, the Saskatoon Fire Department said in a release.
Crews arriving on scene advanced a hose line to tackle the exterior flames, while a second team entered the home to ensure no one remained inside. All occupants had safely evacuated, the department confirmed.
Firefighters deployed multiple hose lines to extinguish both the exterior blaze and flames that had extended into the attic.
The fire was fully extinguished with no injuries reported among civilians or firefighters.
A fire investigator is working to determine the cause and origin of the fire, as well as assess the damage.
