SASKATOON—The Saskatoon Fire Department put out a debris fire under the Sid Buckwold Bridge on Tuesday morning, July 22. The incident was reported at 7:41 a.m.
Arriving fire crews saw smoke and flames coming from a small pile of debris under the bridge. Fire crews, using a portable water extinguisher, quickly put out the fire.
The fire was completely extinguished, preventing it from spreading and causing further damage. There were no reported injuries to responding firefighters or civilians.
The SFD is continuing to investigate the cause of the fire, and more information will be provided as it becomes available.
