SASKATOON - A man is facing numerous charges after police responded to an unknown problem on Saturday afternoon.
At approximately 2:45 p.m., May 10, patrol officers responded to the 300 block of 4th Avenue North for a report of an unknown problem.
When police arrived, they encountered a suspicious person who was believed to be in possession of weapons.
The man was detained and police found him to be concealing two knives in his waistband.
Further investigation located an air gun revolver, ammunition, additional knives, multiple cell phones, methamphetamine packaged for distribution, body armour, cash, and identity documents belonging to other persons.
With the assistance of the Crime Reduction Team, a search warrant was executed on his vehicle and police seized a loaded sawed-off rifle, machete, and hatchet.
A 38-year-old man is facing a total of 25 charges.
