Fiddle delight will perform at gallery

The Shurniak Gallery will host a concert of the Twin Fiddles on Thursday, February 2 at 2 p.m. Twin Fiddles is made up of two award winning fiddle players Gordon Stobbe, a Saskatchewan-born Nova Scotian, and Saskatchewan’s JJ Guy.

The Shurniak Gallery will host a concert of the Twin Fiddles on Thursday, February 2 at 2 p.m.
Twin Fiddles is made up of two award winning fiddle players Gordon Stobbe, a Saskatchewan-born Nova Scotian, and Saskatchewan’s JJ Guy. They will be performing along with Daniel Koulack of Manitoba on guitar, banjo and bass. The performance promises to be fun and entertaining filled with music, stories and audience participation.
At the centre of the performance with be top-notch fiddle playing.
Stobbe and Guy work together throughout the Canadian West and North teaching workshops, mentoring youth, performing and composing. Their distinctive original tunes are written in the twin fiddle style with lead and harmony lines in a wonderful musical collaboration and reflects their shared love for traditional fiddle music, the unique places they have been and the people they have met.
The duo has received a Western Canadian Music Award Nomination for their Twin Fiddle recording, and the follow up Twin Fiddle 2 has met with much fan fair.
