Piano duo Alessio Bax and Lucille Chung will appear in Weyburn on Tuesday, November 2 at the Weyburn Comprehensive School Cafetorium at 7:30 p.m. This is the second concert sponsored by the Weyburn Concert Series.

The real-life marriage of two great concert pianists, Bax and Chung, has led to one of the most dynamic piano duos of their generation. Bax, first prize winner of the Leeds International Piano Competition and Chung, first prize winner of the Stravinsky International Competition, have performed around the world as recitalists with over 130 leading orchestras.

In 2003, just prior to their marriage, they performed their first concert as a piano duo. Since then, the one-piano, four-hands format has become an important addition to their musical careers. This year, Bax and Chung will be performing in more than 25 communities across the Prairie Provinces as part of the Prairie Debut roster.

Tickets for this concert can be purchased at Superior Office Products or at the door. Any tickets for this year's concert series not used at a previous concert may be used at any remaining concerts.
