Saskatchewan Express to stage ‘Oh! Canada’ show

Saskatchewan Express is celebrating Canada’s 150th birthday by per­forming “Oh! Canada”, which is a brand new show conceived, written and directed by Carol Gay Bell. This exciting show is a celebration of Canada and Canadian music.

Saskatchewan Express is celebrating Canada’s 150th birthday by per­forming “Oh! Canada”, which is a brand new show conceived, written and directed by Carol Gay Bell.

This exciting show is a celebration of Canada and Canadian music. It features music by artists from all eras and in all styles in­cluding some of the great­est stars of the past and present. Songs includes those written by Justin Bieber, Anne Murray, Ce­line Dion, BTO, Leonard Cohen, Serena Ryder, Con­nie Kaldor, Shania Twain, Susan Aglukark, Carly Rae Jepsen, Buffy St. Marie and Joni Mitchell.

The talented Saskatch­ewan Express performers in “Oh! Canada” include Aaron Balkaran from Moose Jaw; Cassandra Cur­ley, Simone Narki Karner-Ashong, Joel Stanley and Ryan Ramsay, all from Regina; and Jillana Wolos­chuk from Saskatoon.

“Oh! Canada” is directed by Carol Gay Bell who is joined by profes­sional performers, Kaitlyn Semple, Sheldon Berg­strom and Dawn Berg­strom as vocal directors. Musical arrangements are by Craig Salkeld with choreography by several artists including Jaezila Crittenden, Breanna Mills and Jillana Woloschuk.

“Oh! Canada” is on-stage at the Prince of Wales Centre in Assiniboia on December 8 at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are available at the POW Centre, the As­siniboia and District Arts Council and the Assiniboia Public Library. Tickets cost $25 for adults, $20 for sen­iors and students and $10 for children 12 and under for all shows. Cash only sales at these ticket outlets. Potash­Corp presents Saskatchewan Express.
